Okay, what can be said about this.
- Easy to pick up without much instruction
- Varied stats that can be used in each situation
- Please for the love of god, make it so that you can ESC out of menus, or include a back button at least, that was my biggest gripe.
- It's not particularly intuitive to go between places via the primary menu, would have been better to have a loading zone type thing in each area that brings up it's own menu.
- Holy grinding batman. Never before have I played a game that requires so much exp to level up early on- I gave up after the first assessment. I suppose art imitates life, but it limits desire to play more of the game
- Maybe it's because I didn't grind enough to fully level up, but dumping all my skill points into strength gave me a 100% success rate on all encounters. Also it seems you get the same rewards from encounters regardless of difficulty
- I don't know if it's a pro or a con, but the physics in this RPG play like a momentum based platformer. Still haven't gotten out of bounds in the park though
- Good humor, I laughed at most of my interactions (although only based on strength)
- The music was not just good, but fitting. I could tell I was doing the assessment purely by the music
Overall, this was enjoyable. There were quirks sure, and the encounter system is slightly exploitable, but adjusting a few numbers is all that's needed for that. My notes should be taken with a grain of salt, because I usually play shooters, and like finding exploits and glitches so did not go in as a normal consumer would do. Also please make a momentum based platformer
Fun game to pass the time, relaxing music and a fun concept. Might be useful to have energy shown at all times, though. Enjoyed playing the game, managed to pass my first assessment, before swiftly failing and getting a game over at the very next thing. Hits close to home.
Very challenging game.. much like University! I love the music and quirky art style.
