My Game Doesn't Work.... Mac OS

when i installed it on maverick, it said 'application requires at least Mac OS X version 10.10.5 (10.10.5), but is being run on 10.9.5,' so i don't know why it says it works on 10.9, because it doesn't. What's going on? Is there something wrong here that I don't see?

More new games support Mac OS X than ever, and you can play any Windows game on your Mac. There are many ways you can play those Windows PC games on your Mac. After all, Macs have been standard Intel PCs that come with a different operating system preinstalled since 2006. I'm looking to buy the original Sims game for my mac but I know that it doesn't work with certain versions of the OS on macbooks. Would it work on my mac which has OS Sierra version 10.12.4? Does the original Sims game work on mac?
